I painted this with Dupli-Color acrylic lacquer, by Krylon. 9 coats Bahama Blue, and 6 clear. I wet sanded it with 400, 600, 800, 1000, then 1500 grit sandpaper. Went over it with rubbing compound, then Meguier's wax. I immediately replaced the tuners with some Gotohs. Polished the frets, and cut the nut a little deeper, and it's a player. I finished it off with a pickguard, and rolling string trees from Stew-Mac. I still plan to redo the electronics. |
