I finished the guitar with plasti-kote, which is a automotive type paint. Used about 5 or 6 coats of the red and abut the same clear. I sanded with a 600 grit paper then rubbing compoound followed by a Gibson polish that I used on my other guitars. Although it doesn't show in the pictures the paint job is not really that good. This was my first attempt at anything like this. I still need to do some work on the setup too. I used all the electronic, etc. that came with the kit. I didn't change anything. |
